Lockdown with the Bears By John Cushen Published June 2020
Once upon a time (all good stories start off like this) in Queenstown, New Zealand, "lived" a family of bears in an Attic Cave in a house in Quail Rise. Early in the year 2020, a bad virus called Coronavirus Covid-19 started to spread around the world. Countries closed their borders and went into what is called "lockdown", which meant that people had to stay at home.
To keep people's spirit's up, Teddy Bears began to appear in house windows around the world. Amanda woke up her Teddy Bear Family from their hybernation sleep in the Attic Cave and gave them to me. And so began the daily displays and stories for Quail Rise Tall People and not so Tall People on their walks (and those that followed the adventures on the various Facebook pages). The adventures of the Quail Rise Bears contributed in a small way to keep us all happy. "Join me now and let us together follow their adventures." - John Cushen -
